MJF has been absent from All Elite Wrestling programming during the highly touted bidding war of 2024.

There’s been much discussion among fans recently about MJF not being present on the All Elite Wrestling roster page. There is also no merchandise being sold for him on ShopAEW.

Regarding the roster page, Friedman was removed from All Elite Wrestling’s roster page on January 1. This was done to play into his bidding war of 2024 storyline that the former champion trumpeted on AEW programming over the last couple of years.

In an update from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, MJF is believed to still be under a deal with the company despite not being on the roster page.

Johnson also reports that MJF was in Boston the week of AEW Dynamite: Big Business to meet with company officials. WrestleZone can confirm this report, as we had also heard that Friedman was in Boston that week. However, the nature of his being in town was unknown at that time.

As far as MJF’s health is concerned, Johnson states that Friedman is still recovering from multiple injuries. Because of this, there is currently no timetable for when he’ll return to the ring as of now.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on MJF as it becomes available.
