While his name was circulating to take over from Djamel Belmadi, Amir Abdou extended his contract with Mauritania.

The days pass and the search for Algeria’s new coach still seems to be at a standstill. Since Zinedine Zidane’s refusal to sit on the Fennecs bench, several names have been mentioned, including that of Amir Abdou, the coach of Mauritania, one of the surprise teams of this CAN.
