News from the Zidane sons. If Enzo, Zinédine Zidane's eldest, is no longer a professional footballer at 29, his three little brothers all play in a different club in Andalusia. Luca, 26, keeps the goals for Granada, Théo, 22, is a midfielder at Cordoba and Elyaz, a 19-year-old defender, plays in the Real Betis reserve team. They have all left the Madrid cocoon in recent years. The opportunity for their parents to travel the sublime region of southern Spain to support them at the stadium, while awaiting the departure of Didier Deschamps from the post of coach of the France team in 2026.

Théo Zidane had a great end to 2024 with Cordoba CF, scoring four goals in the last six weeks of Liga 2. The Cordoba number 7 was even selected by Marca among the best midfielders in the elite antechamber. He unfortunately lost his place in the eleven, since he remained the entire match on the bench of his team last Sunday, during a success snatched in the 96th minute at Castellon (1-2). Albert Lottin, the former defensive midfielder for Girondins de Bordeaux and the French U19s, equalized for Castellon.

Despite “San Luca Zidane”

If Cordoba sails into the middle of the Segunda table, Granada CF, Luca Zidane's club, is looking to move up. The 26-year-old goalkeeper won his place with the Nazaries on December 3 during a great performance in the Coupe du Roi. And he still pulled off great parades, as shown by the championship's X account, which renamed him “San Luca Zidane”. The Grenadins, however, sank at Levante (3-1), last Saturday, to reach 8th position in the standings, four points from 6th place. The first two are directly promoted to La Liga, while the next four teams compete in a Final Four.

Note that Elyaz, the youngest of the siblings, who joined Real Betis a year ago to play with the reserves, made two appearances at half-time with his team in Spanish D3, for defeats against Hercules (5-1) and Real Madrid Castilla (1-3).
