The Ballon d'Or looked destined to head Liverpool's way with Mohamed Salah setting himself apart from almost any other player with an incredible tally of goals and assists.
However, with Liverpool now set for only Premier League glory this season it has opened up the Ballon D'Or odds to go the way of players like Raphinha who is now the clear favourite.

Raphinha is now the big favourite just ahead of Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe.
However, it could come down to who wins La Liga where Barcelona and Real Madrid are fighting for the title, neck and neck.
Barcelona currently lead by goal difference and also have a game in hand going into the weekend ahead and only a few more games to play.
Barca are on a huge run and that is of course largely thanks to former Leeds United's winger, Raphinha.
The Brazilian, has scored 13 goals and assisted eight in just 27 matches in La Liga.
In the Champions League though he has scored a staggering 11, assisted five in just ten matches.
If Barcelona do head to the final and win, Raphinha's odds would be smashed in to win the Ballon d'Or.
And vice versa for Mbappe who took a bit of time to settle into Real Madrid, but since has become a force to be reckoned with, with a plethora of goals and strong presence up top.
The Frenchman has scored a staggering 20 goals in just 26 appearances.
In the Champions League he has also been vital, with seven goals in 12 appearances.
Three of those came in the second leg of the play-offs against Man City, to secure a 6-3 aggregate win over the reigning Premier League and Champions League winners.

Salah is not completely discounted though and there's a chance that either player could be favourite after the season concludes.
Raphinha could win La Liga, Salah the Premier League and Mbappe winning the Champions League which could open things up even more.
Salah in this case could then become favourite again and give his 5/1 price good value.
The Egyptian winger has an astonishing 27 goals and 17 assists in the Premier League, far outscoring and assisting his Ballon d'Or rivals.
In the UCL, he's scored three and assisted four but of course couldn't add to that as they were knocked out of the Round of 16 by PSG by an aggregate of 4-1.
