Ballon d’Or 2024: Clarence Seedorf’s conspiracy theory

Clarence Seedorf cannot explain the defeat of Vinicius Jr. The former Dutch international (87 caps, 11 goals), taken aback by this decision, thinks that UEFA intervened to take the Ballon d’Or out of the Madrilenian’s hands. “I have the impression that there is something between Real Madrid and UEFA that does not seem to be resolved. The problems between Real Madrid and UEFA should be apart of these things. It’s a shame”said the former Real Madrid midfielder at the microphone of Sport.

This idea that the boss of European football intervened in the votes to oust the candidacy of Vini Jr. is also the thesis defended by the leaders of Casa Blanca. “It is obvious that the UEFA Ballon d’Or does not respect Real Madrid. And Real Madrid is not where it is not respected”declared the Merengue club to explain its absence from the ceremony.
