He was the only French nominee alongside Kylian Mbappé. William Saliba is now fixed regarding his rank in the Ballon d’Or rankings. He was entitled to the 24e place.

Saliba does better than other PL stars

Knowing that this is his very first nomination, this ranking is far from dishonorable. The Gunners’ full-back is notably ahead of Premier League stars such as Cole Palmer and Declan Rice. He also received more votes than Vitinha, Alex Grimaldo and the duo Drovbyk and Hummels (0 votes).

Saliba stood out last season in the Arsenal tunic. He also stood out during the Euro, where he was certainly one of the best French players.
