Public Uprising in Telangana Imminent, Says Bandi Sanjay Kumar
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has predicted a public uprising in Telangana. Speaking on Saturday, he stated that the BJP will declare a “war” against the failures of the Congress government in the state.
Bandi Sanjay criticized Congress for its performance in the recent Maharashtra elections, claiming the party spread lies but failed to gain public trust. He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on development has resonated with the people, as reflected in the increased majority for the BJP-led alliance.
Congress Called the “Iron Leg” Party
According to Bandi Sanjay, Congress is an “Iron Leg” party, meaning it brings bad luck to its allies. He predicted that internal conflicts within Congress in Telangana would lead to its downfall, with its own MLAs potentially dismantling the government without BJP’s involvement.
He also pointed to surveys that predict a significant victory for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with over 220 seats. BJP, which previously won 105 seats, is projected to surpass 120. In contrast, Congress is expected to perform worse, with its coalition effectively collapsing.

Maharashtra Voters Reject Congress
Bandi Sanjay applauded the people of Maharashtra for rejecting Congress, despite its heavy spending and false promises during the elections. He attributed the Congress coalition’s loss to the failure of the Karnataka and Telangana governments to deliver on their promises. Even with extensive campaigning by Telangana Congress leaders, voters in Maharashtra ignored them and backed the BJP alliance.
He lauded the voters’ unity and Hindutva stance, saying their decision dealt a severe blow to the Congress coalition. This, he added, should serve as a warning to Congress in Telangana.
A Warning to Congress in Telangana
The Union Minister accused Congress of neglecting Telangana’s voters by misusing state funds during the Maharashtra elections. He warned that the public would turn against the Congress government unless it fulfills its promises, including providing women with gold, scooters, and Rs 2,500 monthly, as well as addressing farmers’ issues.
Bandi Sanjay further criticized Congress’ caste census efforts, calling them bogus. He alleged that Congress is manipulating the census by writing details in pencil and taking signatures in pen, leaving room for later alterations. He also demanded that the KCR government release the findings of its “comprehensive family survey” and recover public funds if the survey results are missing.
BJP to Declare War
As public unrest grows in Telangana, Bandi Sanjay reiterated that the BJP will soon declare war on the Congress government. He expressed confidence that the people of Telangana, like those in Maharashtra, would rise against Congress and teach the party a lesson at the ballot box.
