Nigerian R&B star, Bankole Wellington, widely known as Banky W, has relocated to the United States with his family.
The Empire Mates Entertainment boss revealed the move on Instagram, sharing that he will be pursuing a Master’s degree at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Alongside a photo of himself, his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and their child at the airport, Banky W asked his followers to send their best wishes as they embark on this new chapter.
PUNCH Online reports that the 43-year-old artiste was born in the US and married Adesua in 2017.
The artiste contested for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State in Lagos more than once but didn’t win.
In his Instagram caption, Banky W wrote, “For family. For finding purpose.
“For the next year of earning a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC.
“Wish us well.”
Reacting via the comment section, his wife, a renowned actress, Adesua wrote, “Home is wherever you are.”
