Barack Obama celebrated Michelle Obama’s milestone 60th birthday with a sweet tribute to his wife.
The former president posted a carefree photo of Michelle, barefoot in a yellow sundress, posing by a pool with a beautiful ocean view.
“This is what 60 looks like,” Barack wrote Wednesday on X.
“Happy birthday to my better half — who happens to be one of the funniest, smartest, most beautiful people I know. @MichelleObama,” he continued. “you make every day better. I can’t wait to see what this new decade brings you.”
The couple met at a Chicago law firm where she was assigned to mentor him.
They married in 1992 and share two daughters, Malia, 25, and Sasha, 22.

In 2022, the former first lady admitted that she “couldn’t stand” Barack, for the first 10 years of their marriage because of uneven household and childrearing loads.

Getty ImagesMichelle confessed that she began to turn her “ire” on Barack, 62, when he would carve time to golf or travel for work while she juggled being a mother and lawyer.
“And for 10 years, while we’re trying to build our careers and, you know, worrying about school and who’s doing what and what, I was like, ‘Ugh, this isn’t even,’” she recalled.
“And guess what? Marriage isn’t 50/50 — ever. There’s sometimes I’m 70, he’s 30, but guess what? We’ve been married 30. I would take 10 bad years over 30.”
Last year, they both posted gushing tributes for each other in honor of their 31st wedding anniversary.

He went on to call his wife, “brilliant, kind, funny, and beautiful.”
“I’m lucky to call you mine,” he added.
Michelle also celebrated the Oct. 3 occasion with a separate post showing the longtime couple smiling in front of a city backdrop.
“31 years, and a lifetime to go,” the mom of two captioned the casual pic. “I love going through life with you by my side, @BarackObama. Happy anniversary, honey! ❤️.”
