FC Barcelona have just completed the transfer of Spanish international, Dani Olmo.

Good things come to those who wait. After several weeks of discussions, FC Barcelona managed to finalize the signing of Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo this Friday.

The Spanish international, top scorer in the European Championship, has signed a six-year contract. And his exit clause has been set at 500 million euros by the Blaugrana management.

Barça has therefore finally reached an agreement with Leipzig for the transfer of the versatile midfielder. The price of the operation is 55 million euros, plus 7 million euros in bonuses.

Dani Olmo finds his home again

The Catalan club had not spent so much on a recruit since 2022 and the signing of Raphinha from Leeds United. This year, the Barcelonans have only spent 2.7 million euros on arrivals. It was to enlist Pau Victor from Gijon.

As a reminder, Dani Olmo is a pure product of La Masia. Before emigrating to Croatia, to the Zagreb side, he had trained at Barça (2007-2014) but without being able to taste the joy of an appearance in the club’s first team.
