FC Barcelona put on a show when they hosted Getafe on Saturday, winning 4-0 to come within five points of Real Madrid, the La Liga leader.

As Xavi said before the match, Barça will play for the title of champion of Spain as long as it is still mathematically possible. Getting back into the title race would already be crazy! After their 4-0 victory against Getafe on Saturday at Montjuic, the Blaugrana are five points behind Real Madrid, who host Sevilla on Sunday. FCB doubles Girona, which will face Rayo Vallecano on Monday.

In the wake of its Champions League round of 16 first leg against Napoli (1-1), FCB demonstrated its offensive power on the national scene, becoming the best attack in the championship by shaking the nets with four times. And without the slightest goal from Robert Lewandowski!

Raphinha doubly decisive

Both thrown into the starting lineup (at the expense of Lamine Yamal and Pedri), Raphinha and Joao Félix did not miss the opportunity to shine. The Brazilian winger opened the scoring in the first period (20th), then offered the third goal to Frenkie De Jong. Joao Félix has doubled the lead in the meantime (53rd). Fermin Lopez concluded the offensive festival in added time, after a strike from Victor Roque (91st).

The reigning champion must absolutely continue against Bilbao and Mallorca these next two weekends, before returning to Napoli in C1, but especially Atlético in a month. A Clasico is scheduled in the Spanish capital on April 21, four days before the end of the season…
