FC Barcelona fans have once again been filmed chanting “Vinicius Jr. dies” ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Catalan fans have once again made headlines for the wrong reasons, as disturbing videos emerged on social media showing some of the fans chanting hateful slogans towards Vinicius.
The same slogans were heard last season outside the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium before a European match against Napoli.
Vinicius still threatened
Albert Ortega, journalist at El Confidencial, shared a video on his X account and wrote: “ Barça fans chant “Vinícius dies, Vinícius dies” before the match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. »
After scoring a sensational hat-trick against Borussia Dortmund, Vinicius will be eager to make headlines on the pitch when Real Madrid host the Catalans on Saturday in a top-of-the-table clash. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to use these slogans as an argument for success to silence his detractors.
