The Gavi case is still causing discussion in Catalonia. This Thursday morning, Spanish radio RAC1 reported that Barca and LaLiga had reached an agreement to register the 19-year-old as a first-team member for all intents and purposes. A decision coming after several months of imbroglios between the presidency of the Spanish championship and the Barcelona justice system… Yes, but now, a few hours later, a new twist is to be noted. Indeed, Sport affirms for its part that no agreement has been reached.

A trend directly confirmed by LaLiga, denying the fact that “both parties have renounced the legal dispute they had”. And to specify: “LaLiga is working on the relevant reports to support its position when the next court dates are set”. As a reminder, Gavi has been absent from the field since November 2023 after suffering a ruptured cruciate knee ligament during a rally with La Roja. To be continued in the next episode…
