Joan Laporta is about to complete a huge coup. In negotiations with the equipment manufacturer Nike for a renewal of the lease between the American brand and the Catalan club, the Barcelona leader announced behind the scenes that he had concluded the deal. A gigantic deal which should last more than ten years and which should allow the Blaugranas to lastingly clean up their finances.
This new contract will extend until 2038 and is expected to bring Barça 45 million euros more per season until the end of the first contract in 2028, then will be 60 million euros more per year until 2038, from the start of the new lease. In addition to these conditions, a renewal bonus of 100 million would be assured for the Catalans. In total, this deal could earn Barcelona almost 120 million euros per season.
