Less and less in Hansi Flick's plans at Barcelona after Cubarsi's explosion, Eric Garcia is looking for a way out to find playing time and relaunch his career. After a successful loan to Girona last year, his return to satellite club Manchester City had not been possible, and it was now Como who made an approach to try to bring in the player.
According to Sky Italiathe Serie A team would have made an offer of around eight million euros for the Spanish defender, a proposal slightly below the ten million requested by FC Barcelona for Eric Garcia. A negotiation which could be facilitated by the presence of Cesc Fabregas, formerly of the Catalan house, on the bench of the promoted Italian. This season, Garcia has taken part in 16 matches, making only six starts.
