FC Barcelona would have returned to the charge for the recruitment of Manchester City attacking midfielder, Bernardo Silva.

Powerful Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes has admitted that FC Barcelona are still looking to sign Manchester City striker Bernardo Silva.

Bernardo Silva still in the viewfinder

Mendes made the comments while in Dubai for the Globe Soccer Awards, where he discussed the futures of Barca players Joao Félix (Atletico Madrid) and Joao Cancelo (Manchester City).

“Things are not going very well for FC Barcelona, but João Félix had a positive performance. There is no doubt that he is excellent. FC Barcelona wants to keep him permanently,” Mendes said, as quoted by Record.

When asked about Cancelo, he then said: “Yes, him too (he enters into Barça’s plans). Just like Bernado Silva, who is the best player in the world in his position.”

As they did for Ilkay Gundogan, the Blaugrana tried for several transfer windows to snatch Bernardo Silva from Manchester City but without result. Perhaps they will succeed in achieving their goals by persevering.
