Robert Lewandowski had a bad time last season at Barça, but the Pole wants to be reassuring.
For Robert Lewandowski, the 2023-24 season with FC Barcelona has proven to be more complicated than the previous one. Less visible and more prone to physical problems than usual, the Polish striker has had less success in his second season with the Blaugranas.
However, there is no reason to worry the former Bayern Munich striker. At 35, he claims not to suffer from the effects of time on his physical condition. Indeed, despite a blank season, the Eagles captain still scored 26 goals and provided 9 assists in 49 matches.
“I can still score a lot of goals”
“Last season was more difficult for me physically. I know what I did wrong and what I could have done better. But physically, I don’t see a difference between what I did today and two years ago. I can still score a lot of goals. I feel better physically than in recent years. Even though I’m older, I don’t feel the difference.”Lewandowski told the daily AS.
A strong message from the European goal scorer, which sets the tone for the upcoming clashes in Spain, notably the future Clasicos against Real Madrid and its stars Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr.
