Very convincing since the start of the season, Spanish midfielder Pedri is on the verge of being rewarded by his club.

FC Barcelona is currently pushing to sign a new contract for Pedri, one of the best players in its squad.

Pedri was superb again for Barca in the 5-1 win over Sevilla on Sunday evening. The midfielder has returned to full fitness after missing pre-season due to an injury picked up with Spain at the European Championships.

Pedri should be increased

He has regained his best level, as he proved on Sunday. According to the daily Marca, negotiations are underway with Pedri for a new contract, but they are slow.

Pedri’s current contract runs until 2026. Currently, he earns €780,000 per month. There is no doubt that in the event of an extension, his salary will be increased.
