Sent off last Sunday against Atlético de Madrid, Xavi, the coach of FC Barcelona, is now set on his sanction. The Spaniard was, in fact, suspended for two matches by the RFEF Competition Committee. After having violently protested against the arbitration, the former midfielder of the Catalan club will also have to pay a fine of seven hundred euros and Barça a fine of six hundred euros.

If Xavi will be present for the clash against Real Madrid on April 21, he will however miss the next two league matches, at home against Las Palmas and away against Cadiz. To replace him, his brother and deputy, Oscar Hernandez, will take over during these two meetings.
