Noah Darvich was one of many Barcelona talents going under the microscope in the ongoing pre-season tour to the United States.

The young attacking midfielder, in fact, was one of the beneficiaries of Hansi Flick’s arrival, as the German tactician instantly included him as part of his pre-season setup.

Darvich was included with the hope of the youngster making a direct entry into the first-team setup next season.

Darvich’s slow growth so far

However, with Barcelona’s pre-season trip coming to an end, it is fair to say Darvich’s progress has been rather slow.

The young German was involved in both the friendlies against AC Milan and Real Madrid but was unable to make too much of an impact.

Darvich appeared lost in a scene full of Barcelona talents, such as Marc Bernal and Pau Victor, both of who have stood out and could be a part of the senior team next season.

Darvich to play for the reserve team

Darvich’s slow growth means he won’t make an immediate jump into the senior side anytime soon. Therefore, he will continue to ply his trade for the reserve team next season, reports Diario SPORT.

Barcelona, though, retain faith in the 17-year-old, who is still favoured by coach Hansi Flick. The German tactician believes the player has immense potential and can only get better with age.

Not to mention, Flick’s linguistic ability, coupled with his close bond with Flick could put him in an excellent position to make a breakthrough in the yeast to come.

But for now, the youngster will not be given a berth in the senior setup and will have to continue his progress at Barça Atletic.
