Barcelona began their pre-season training camp last week under new manager Hansi Flick, with a number of youngsters from Barça Atletic and the youth teams being called up to make up for the absence of senior stars.

One such young talent to have been called up by Flick for training is teenage German prodigy Noah Darvich, who is in his second season with Barça after playing 21 games in his first for the youth and reserve sides.

Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, Darvich could be in the squad for Barcelona’s pre-season tour of the USA after impressing Hansi Flick & co.

Club sources tell MD that the Barça coaching staff knows Darvich very well because one of Flick’s assistants, Heiko Westermann, was a staff member of the German youth team.

Darvich, who already speaks good Spanish and has become familiar with the environment, is transmitting good sensations and is adapting very well to Flick’s method. In addition, he has improved physically.

Barça signed Darvich beating clubs like Manchester City and PSG in the race for the German wonderkid with great hopes for the future.

Now, even though there have been some doubts at times, the Catalans trust the 17-year-old and his positive impressions on Flick and his staff are positive signs.

With limited options in midfield heading into the pre-season tour, Darvich could get an opportunity on the pre-season tour to further convince the new staff about his potential.
