Barcelona continue to make moves in the market in the final week of the transfer window as the departure of another young player from La Masia appears to be close.

Alex Valle is already on his way to Celtic on loan while teenage starlet Albert Navarro is all set to sign for Atalanta permanently.

Angel Alarcon headed to Porto

Now, as per SPORT, Barcelona academy forward Angel Alarcon is all set to sign for Portuguese heavyweights FC Porto.

The young attacker, who made his first-team debut under Xavi Hernandez back in 2023, has endured a difficult time through injuries in recent seasons.

Alarcon played only 13 games across all teams last season due to injury and had returned to fitness recently during pre-season and was initially under Hansi Flick’s command.

However, some discomfort in his foot did not allow him to progress and he was back working with Barça Atlètic.

Now, the 20-year-old attacker is on his way out of Barcelona, considering that there does not seem to be a place for him in the first-team setup while competition for places at Barça Atletic is also quite high.

Despite his transfer, Barça are keeping control of Alarcon. They do not cut his wings completely and are allowing him to leave in search of minutes at a top club while retaining aa part of his rights.

In addition, Porto will pay a fixed initial fee and an increasing sum in the form of a bonus. These details are being finalised now as the two clubs work towards making the agreement official.

Alarcon is expected to travel to Portugal in the next few hours to join coach Vitor Bruno. Having endured injury problems for the most part in recent years, he will hope to start afresh and make an impact.
