Lamine Yamal’s return from injury may be delayed further, with recent reports from Javier Miguel in AS suggesting that he could miss Barcelona’s upcoming clash with Celta Vigo.

Despite most of the first-team squad being available for the match, Yamal’s situation remains uncertain due to ongoing concerns about his ankle.

It must be noted that The 17-year-old forward suffered an ankle injury during Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League match against Red Star, which has caused him significant discomfort.

Although he was initially included in the squad for the match against Real Sociedad, he was unable to play due to the injury. This has led to concerns about his availability for upcoming fixtures, including the match against Celta Vigo this Saturday.

Reports suggest that Yamal’s ankle pain has not fully subsided, and it seems unlikely that he will be ready for the Celta Vigo game. Club insiders have mentioned that it is difficult for him to make a full recovery in time for Saturday.

“It is very difficult for him to arrive on Saturday,” they say from the dressing room.

Although the club had hoped to see him fit within two weeks, the injury is taking longer to heal than initially expected.

As a result, the focus is now on ensuring that Yamal is fully fit for the Champions League match against Brest and potentially the game against Las Palmas, marking a three-week recovery period.

The final decision on Yamal’s return will depend on how he feels in the coming days. While he has reported some pain in his right ankle, it is worth noting that he can play with his foot bandaged, which lessens the discomfort.

However, given the nature of the injury, the club is taking a cautious approach to avoid further complications. The situation remains delicate, and the club will continue to monitor his progress closely.
