FC Barcelona have been the standout team in Europe, buoyed by a brilliant start to the campaign.

The team has looked simply unbeatable under the leadership of Hansi Flick, who has managed to install a ‘battle-hardened’ spirit in the Barcelona camp.

This has resulted in stellar performances, even against top teams. In fact, Barcelona’s latest victories have come against Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, with the team scoring four goals in each of the two matches.

Thanks to Barcelona’s superb start, the Catalans are now leading the league table with a significant six-point lead over Real Madrid.

Best is yet to come: Hansi Flick

However, despite a near-perfect start to the season, Hansi Flick is not entirely satisfied with the team, though not necessarily in a negative way.

According to Adrian Sanchez, the German tactician and his staff have informed the Barcelona hierarchy that they believe the team has yet to reach its prime.

In fact, Flick believes the “best is yet to come” from this Barcelona team, which has dominated their opponents left and right.

This is quite characteristic of Flick, who has always maintained a stoic personality and does not tend to overreact, even if his teams perform well.

It was evident at Bayern Munich, most notably when Flick remained quite composed even after the 8-2 trouncing of Barcelona back in 2020.

This kind of mentality has worked quite well with the Barcelona team, who have reacted well to the German’s impassioned nature and disciplinary values.

The results have been quite evident as well, though it remains to be seen whether or not Barcelona can continue this momentum in the months to come.
