With Barcelona needing to make some sales in the summer, several players currently on loan away from the club are likely to be offloaded permanently.

While those players might not generate a big sum in terms of transfer fee, every penny in the coffers is welcome at Barça at this point while they would also be getting rid of their wages fully.

Clement Lenglet is one such player that Barcelona are looking to offload for good in the summer.

Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona are convinced that Aston Villa will make an offer for Clement Lenglet in the summer, even if it is likely to be a low one.

After spending the last season on loan at Tottenham, the Frenchman returned to the Premier League again, this time joining Aston Villa on a temporary arrangement with no purchase option.

Things did not start well for him as Unai Emery hardly called on the Barcelona loanee in the first half of the season, barring a few appearances in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

However, his situation has turned around quite remarkably in recent months with Lenglet now a regular starter for the Villans as they push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

As such, Barça are convinced that Aston Villa will make an offer to sign Lenglet and the idea is for the club to sell him for good.

Whether such a possibility materialises or not remains to be seen. But there is simply no way back for the former Sevilla defender at Barcelona. One way or the other, he will be moved on.
