Due to reckless spending over the last few years, Barcelona have been backed into a corner financially, with their hand now forced to make some cuts in the roster.
The Catalan giants are intent on returning to the 1:1 rule in La Liga, which has given rise to Barça considering the departures of several high-profile players.
Mika Faye’s fine form as of late has earned him an abundance of interest from parties abroad, as he continues to showcase an upward trajectory with both the Senegal international team and Barcelona Atletic.
Barcelona will be forced to consider offers for Faye
Indeed, as per Mundo Deportivo Barcelona may consider offers for Faye due to the club’s delicate financial situation.
In his last two starts for Senegal and Barcelona Atletic, he has scored two sublime goals, as recently as yesterday, scoring the winner for Rafa Marquez’s team.
Furthermore, for the past two La Liga games, Faye has been called up to the senior team by Xavi; however, he has not yet been given the opportunity to make his debut.
Having signed him from NK Kustosija last summer for a meagre fee of €1.5 million, Barcelona will be sure to make a profit if they decide to escort him to the exit door, though.
Faye has many suitors
The 19-year-old prospect’s strides with Barcelona’s B team have not gone unnoticed, as he continues to pique interest from top clubs.
Indeed, Manchester United have considered making an offer for Faye, with a potential transfer fee of £25 million on the line.
Many other teams, including Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen, have monitored the teenage sensation, too.
While the Blaugranes rejected offers for Faye in the January transfer window, the circumstances of their strained financial condition may leave Barça no choice but to offload him if a suitable offer arrives.
