Ez Abde was one among a number of youngsters who departed FC Barcelona last summer. The Moroccan winger joined Real Betis in search of regular minutes even though Xavi Hernandez wanted to keep him.

However, things have not worked out for the former Hercules CF starlet as he has not played regularly under Manuel Pellegrini.

Of his 32 appearances in all competitions, in which he has five goals, Abde has started only 14 times, with just five starts coming in La Liga.

Real Betis likely to sell Abde

Given the situation, Real Betis are likely to sell Ez Abde in the summer, reports AS, and Barcelona will be watching the developments surrounding the 22-year-old very closely.

It is because when selling Abde to Betis for €7.5 million last summer, Barça inserted a buyback option as well as a 50% future sell-on clause.

As such, if Los Verdiblancos decide to sell the Moroccan international in the summer window, it could lead to revenue for the Catalans.

AC Milan interested

The report from AS further claims that Serie A giants AC Milan are interested in signing Abde, which will come as music to the ears of those in the Barcelona offices.

The Rossoneri, in recent years always very attentive to young talent, made contacts to find out about Abde’s situation last summer, and are following his development at Betis.

With there being plenty of speculations around the future of Rafael Leao, Milan could be in the market for a new left-winger and Abde is on their agenda.

While there is nothing concrete as of yet, Barcelona will be keeping a close eye on the situation and see how things evolve as the club would welcome any sort of income in the summer.
