With the season now over, Barcelona will soon start to welcome back the array of players that had left the club on loan last summer.

New manager Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco will then have to make a decision on the futures of the said loanees.

As things stand, it appears that the German tactician would be willing to take a closer look at Ansu Fati once he returns from Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, the fate of Clement Lenglet appears to be sealed and what remains is for the Catalans to figure out a way to offload him permanently.

Saudi Arabia offers on the table

Now, SPORT reports that as Lenglet prepares to return from his loan spell at Aston Villa, the Frenchman has two offers to leave Barcelona for Saudi Arabia.

The names of the two clubs that want the French centre-back are not revealed, but Barça are understood to be eager to resolve the matter quickly.

The Blaugrana are keen on offloading Lenglet permanently after having loaned him out for the last two seasons during which they have had to bear a part of his salary.

As such, they believe that Saudi Arabia could be the best option as there could be some financial benefit from the transfer.

However, Lenglet’s priority at this point is to continue playing football in Europe, which could drag out the matter, much to the club’s annoyance.

Lenglet, though, prefers to wait for the European market to progress and develop and see what his options are.

Aston Villa are uninterested in re-signing Lenglet, but there is interest from some other Premier League teams. But they would not pay the full salary so the operation is not too interesting for Barça.

So, it remains to be seen what the outcome of the whole situation will be. The Blaugrana would even be willing to release him if they could save the two years of his remaining salary.
