Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies has caught the attention of many football clubs, including Barcelona, as his future at Bayern looks increasingly uncertain.

Adding to the story, according to reports from SPORT, the Canadian defender is seeking a substantial signing bonus of €15 million before committing to a new club.

With his current contract nearing its end, Davies has yet to renew his deal with Bayern Munich, as his demands appear to be too high for both the German giants and any potential suitors.

Davies is expected to be a key player in tonight’s Champions League clash between Bayern Munich and Barcelona. The left-back is regarded as one of Bayern’s most valuable assets, making him a highly sought-after figure in the transfer market.

Barcelona, in particular, have placed him on their radar as a potential signing for next season. However, his financial expectations could present a significant challenge.

Meanwhile, in addition to his demand for a €15 million signing bonus, Davies is reportedly looking for a contract that offers a net salary of around €10 million per season over a minimum of four years.

While these demands are steep, they are known to clubs that have expressed interest in acquiring his services. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, have asked Davies to reduce his expectations, but negotiations for a contract renewal now seem unlikely.

For Barcelona, signing Davies would require considerable effort, especially given the club’s current financial constraints. However, his versatility on the field is a key factor in their interest.

Davies is not just a top-class defender; his ability to play in more advanced positions makes him a valuable option for covering multiple roles within the team.

So while his demands may be beyond Barcelona’s typical budget, the club views him as a long-term investment who could strengthen their squad in several areas.

The coming months will reveal whether Barcelona is prepared to make the financial sacrifice necessary to secure the Canadian’s signature.
