Barcelona are anticipating a busy summer ahead, with the board likely to make several changes to the first-team squad.

That leaves multiple players facing an uncertain future at Camp Nou, including Ronald Araujo, who remains a target for Bayern Munich.

But another Barcelona star staring at an uncertain future at the club is Raphinha. The forward remains happy in Catalonia, but his standing in the team has often been questioned by critics in recent years.

Yamal’s ascent leaves Raphinha in the backseat

According to a report from Alex Pintanel, the rapid ascension of Lamine Yamal in the first team has gravely impacted Raphinha’s role in the team.

Since joining the club from Leeds United in 2022, the forward has struggled to become a first-team regular in the team, partly due to injuries.

Raphina’s situation has turned from bad to worse following Yamal’s rapid to prominence. The ascension of Fermin Lopez, coupled with the January arrival of Vitor Roque cannot be discounted either.

All of this has led to Raphinha struggling for minutes in the first team this season. The attacker has started only eight league matches for Barça this season. In a total of 15 matches, he has scored only three goals.

Tottenham take note

Alex Pintanel reports that Raphinha’s uncertain future at Barcelona has caught the attention of Tottenham Hotspur and one more Premier League club.

The Spanish journalist even adds that these two English outfits have already reached out to Raphinha’s representatives.

Despite his struggles at Barça, the Brazilian does have a good reputation, particularly in the English market.

He was, after all, one of the star players for Leeds United during their brief spell in the Premier League. And it seems English clubs have not forgotten his performances in England. But only time will tell what fate has in store for Raphinha in the coming summer.
