Barcelona’s biggest game of the season is as close as it gets. In over 24 hours, the Catalans are set to take on PSG in the second, and decisive leg, of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal and a lot is riding on the same.

The victor on the night will be the favourite to advance to the finale at Wembley as they will face either Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund in the semifinal.

Barcelona have a one-goal advantage heading into tomorrow’s clash, but the biggest advantage they will have over their opposition is the backing of the crowd.

A pressure cooker

As revealed by Mundo Deportivo in a recent report, tomorrow’s clash between PSG and Barcelona at Montjuic is virtually sold out.

The fans want tomorrow’s crowd to make the atmosphere as hostile as possible for PSG and thus hope to make it a ‘pressure cooker’ for the French champions.

The Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys may not be Spotify Camp Nou but boasts just half as much seating capacity. Yet, every seat will count on the night, and the Blaugrana fans have made it their mission to push their side through.

Xavi’s men have won all four of their UCL games at Montjuic, thus registering a special record that can be furthered by a win tomorrow.

PSG in for a shock

As revealed earlier this week, the French giants believe that Barcelona will not have a home advantage on the night since the game is played at Montjuic as opposed to the Spotify Camp Nou.

If that is indeed the case, the French side’s dressing room could be in for a shock come Tuesday. With Xavi personally calling on fans to come out and cheer the team in large numbers, moreover, the environment will be daunting for Luis Enrique’s men.

The Parc des Princes did not serve the Barcelona fans last week, as French fans went as far as to insult Xavi’s men with their slurs on the night. Catalonia will repay the favour, with added interest.
