The situation of Vitor Roque at FC Barcelona has become a hotly debated topic of late, with his future at the Catalan club being called into question.

The 19-year-old arrived in the winter from Athletico Paranaense amid much fanfare, but has been constantly overlooked by manager Xavi Hernandez.

Over the past few days, reports have suggested that Barcelona have made the decision to offload Roque on loan in the summer transfer window, with several clubs keen.

Andre Cury unmoved: Either Roque stays or leaves permanently

Vitor Roque’s agent, Andre Cury, had played an important role in Barcelona securing his signature beating several other interested parties.

However, the 19-year-old’s representative expressed his displeasure at how the striker was being used by manager Xavi Hernandez recently.

Furthermore, Cury insisted that Roque would remain at Barcelona in the summer or leave, only on a permanent transfer, and that his camp would not entertain a loan move.

Now, SPORT reports that Cury’s stance as far as Roque’s future remains firm and unchanged. Either the striker stays at the Catalan club or leaves permanently, that is what they insist.

This update comes after reports claimed earlier this week that Barcelona had decided to send Roque out on loan next summer.

As things stand, neither the centre-forward nor his camp is aware of this development. Xavi and Deco have not informed anyone about this plan.

However, the Barça management, led by Xavi himself, intends on loaning Roque out, which the manager has made clear by hardly counting on Roque in recent weeks.

If Barça, in the end, does not have Vitor Roque for the next campaign, Cury will consider his permanent transfer this summer, but they do not wish to entertain a loan exit.
