Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski is currently at the top of the La Liga Pichichi standings with four goals.

The Polish striker has been in fine form, with his latest goal coming against Valladolid to secure a 2-0 lead in what was a 7-0 win for his side.

Interestingly, he has already found the back of the net in three out of the four matches played so far this season. In addition to his goal-scoring prowess, Lewandowski has provided an assist and even hit the post once.

While this is not his best start in terms of goals, Lewandowski is still showcasing his consistent performance. In his first season with Barcelona, he managed to score five goals across the first three games.

Raphinha’s hat trick has put him in the race

Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski lead the standings.

Closely following the Poland international in the list is Raphinha, who celebrated his first career hat-trick, and Dani Olmo, who is among the group of players with two goals each.

It must be noted that Lewandowski has benefitted from Barcelona’s system, which places more players closer to the opponent’s area, allowing him to capitalise on scoring opportunities.

He has scored four goals in as many games, one of them from the penalty spot. He netted twice against Valencia, scored the decisive goal against Athletic, and found the net again in the most recent match. Additionally, he set up one of Raphinha’s three goals in that game.

Lewandowski could have had an even more impressive tally. He struck the post against Valladolid and had a goal disallowed against Rayo Vallecano. Nevertheless, this marks a strong start to the season for the Polish striker.
