Barcelona are gearing up for a summer of change. The recent appointment of Hansi Flick as the new head coach could usher in a complete overhaul, not only in terms of the squad but also the support staff.

The majority of Xavi Hernandez’s staff is already leaving, but there could be many more exits in the coming summer.

Two staff members facing uncertain future

To that end, a recent report from Diario SPORT has revealed that at least two Barcelona staff members are facing an uncertain future at Camp Nou this summer.

One of them is Doctor Ricard Pruna, who was brought in due to a special request from Xavi Hernandez. It is unlikely he would continue his role following the arrival of Flick.

Another member unlikely to continue is Ivan Torres, the physical trainer. He will abandon his position, but the same cannot be said for many other members.

Staff members who may continue

The report speculates that Hansi Flick might want to retain the services of analyst Joan Barbara, who worked with Ronald Koeman and Luis Enrique.

Two delegates Carles Naval and Toni Alonso should also continue, along with prop man Gabriel Galan. Naval, in fact, is one of the oldest members of the Barcelona support staff.

Another prominent member who is likely to continue at Barcelona is goalkeeping coach Jose Ramon de la Fuente, who shares a strong relationship with Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

This is despite the fact that Flick brought in former Bayern Munich goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic as one of his assistants.

More details are likely to come in the coming days, once Flick starts assessing the squad and the support staff extensively, before making key decisions.
