According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Gavi is steadily advancing in his recovery from the knee injury he had sustained. The young Barcelona midfielder has been working hard on his specific rehabilitation plan, and all signs indicate that his return is on the right path.

Gavi has been training separately from his teammates at Camp Tito Vilanova, located at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Even though he is not yet training with the rest of the squad, his return is getting closer.

Barcelona recently shared a video on their social media account showing Gavi performing several intense exercises on the pitch. This footage is a positive sign that he is making great strides in his recovery.

What happened to Gavi?

The injury to Gavi occurred on 20th November when he suffered a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee during a match with the Spanish national team against Georgia.

Alongside the ACL tear, he also had an associated injury to the lateral meniscus. This serious injury forced him to miss the remainder of the previous season, preventing him from contributing any further minutes for Barcelona.

However, Gavi’s recovery has been encouraging. He is showing noticeable improvement and becoming more comfortable with the ball in each of his specialised training sessions.

In addition to these sessions, he continues to undergo a variety of recovery exercises designed to help him regain his strength and agility. If all goes according to plan, it is expected that Gavi could be back on the pitch in November.

Nevertheless, Barcelona remain cautious and do not want to rush his return to action, prioritising his long-term health and fitness over a hasty comeback.

In summary, Gavi is on a promising path to recovery, with his hard work and dedication shining through in each training session. Barcelona fans are hopeful to see him back in action soon, but the club is committed to ensuring that his return is safe and sustainable.
