Although their finishing left much to be desired, Barcelona responded strongly after the international break by triumphing over Las Palmas with a 1-0 victory.

The Catalan giants strung together various promising plays and earned a fifth consecutive clean sheet, with most players performing well.

However, Raphinha was arguably a cut above his peers on the night. One of his goals was unfairly ruled out, but he kept slipping into solid scoring positions and creating chances with frequency. Eventually, the Brazilian scored the winner with a fine header.

Owing to his solid form lately, Raphinha’s price is expected to soar, which has pleased the Barcelona hierarchy.

Barcelona happy with Raphinha’s potential price surge

Indeed, as per MARCA Barcelona are happy with Raphinha’s performances primarily because his price will go up.

In his last six games for Barça, the 27-year-old winger has recorded five direct goal contributions, notably assisting against heavyweights like Napoli and Atletico Madrid.

However, the Catalan giants have been backed into a corner due to financial complications, which has given rise to the possibility of selling many of their lucrative assets this summer.

With Raphinha a man in demand, he enters the list of disposable candidates.

Raphinha has suitors from Saudi Arabia

Even though the former Leeds man has no intention of leaving, a hefty proposition for Raphinha would be highly alluring to the club management.

In fact Al Hilal are ready to dish out €100 million, including variables, for the Brazilian winger.

And reports have argued that intermediaries with close connections to Saudi Arabia’s big four—Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ittihad, and Al Ahli—have contacted President Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco to inquire about Raphinha.

Considering Raphinha’s form is on an upward trajectory, Barça could improve the terms of a transfer fee and are thus content with his recent displays.
