Everton midfielder Amadou Onana is valued at €60 million and Barcelona may make an approach to sign him with Arsenal also considering a move for the player.
Barcelona are reportedly interested in Amadou Onana, according to a report by the Spanish publication SPORT. However, the Blaugrana cannot afford his €60 million price tag.
In order to get them to sign the Belgian international, they may offer a player of their own in a swap deal.
Barcelona and Arsenal are both fighting to sign Onana
After joining Everton in August 2022 from LOSC Lille, Onana has been a key player.
The 22-year-old has been one of Goodison Park’s bright spots throughout the previous 18 months, despite the Toffees’ ongoing involvement in the relegation struggle.
With the high level of interest in Onana’s talents, his long-term future at the Merseyside club is in doubt. Among the young player’s possible suitors going into the summer transfer window are Barcelona and Arsenal.
After Sergio Busquets’ lengthy and storied tenure at Barcelona, the midfield veteran and the team parted ways last summer.

Romeu hasn’t left much of an impact, though, and he’s probably going to depart Barcelona during the summer transfer window.
Barcelona are eyeing a replacement of Busquets
Barcelona have to make an acquisition of a young holding midfield player, which is where Onana comes in.
But according to recent sources, Everton’s €60 million price tag has priced the Catalan team out of the attempt to capture the Belgian international.
In spite of the Toffees’ preference for a pure cash trade given their difficulties adhering to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, they are prepared to sweeten the pot by providing a player in exchange for the 22-year-old.
Arsenal, on the other hand, could easily afford to spend €60 million to get Onana.
