Shortly after Lamine Yamal’s match-winning goal against RCD Mallorca, the rumour mill did not take any moment to link the player to a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain.

It was even reported that PSG are prepared to offer a mammoth €200 million to Barcelona, for the services of the young winger.

It appears PSG have identified the Barcelona youngster as the ideal man to replace Kylian Mbappe, who looks set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.

No offer from PSG yet

A recent report from Mundo Deportivo has offered an update on the future of Yamal, claiming that Barcelona are yet to receive any offer from PSG.

This is a significant development considering the fact that rumours had run rampant earlier in the day, linking the winger to a move to Paris.

A proposal of €200 million would have certainly been huge for Barcelona, as it is only €22 million short of what PSG paid to the Catalan outfit for the services of Neymar in 2017.

Barcelona not considering a sale

Given Barcelona’s economic woes, one would expect the club to accept such an offer in a heartbeat.

However, MD reports that Barcelona have not received such an offer and even if they do, the club are not going to even consider the proposal.

Barça maintain that Yamal is a generational talent, who could go on to achieve big things in the future. He may even become the protagonist Barcelona are desperately looking for, especially after the departure of Lionel Messi.

While Xavi has decided to hold back on the comparisons with Messi, there is no question that Yamal has immense talent and as the club look to bring a foundational core to the attacking unit, the potential sale of the young Spanish sensation has been ruled out for now.
