Barcelona are obligated to sell players during the upcoming summer transfer window if they want to sign players in other positions.

With a new manager coming in to replace Xavi, the Catalans will be obliged to help him out during the window by bringing in some much-needed solutions for the squad.

Currently, Barcelona need a defensive midfielder, first and foremost, before they can start thinking about the left-wing, central midfield, and the fullback positions.

But each of these positions, and maybe more need to be fixed if the administration want to continue building their project.

This is where some of the important assets in the team come in. Players that can be sold for a profit while not particularly compromising the quality of the team.

SPORT have suggested that Barcelona have received offers for three such important players for summer moves. They are Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, and Raphinha.

Club president Joan Laporta has already confirmed to a group of members that there are offers, and the club will be forced to offload some of them.

Araujo

The least likely of the three to move, Araujo definitely has suitors across Europe willing to pay the premium for his services. On this list are the well-known interested party of Bayern Munich.

Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of the player, and has been pushing for his move since this winter transfer window.

However, Barcelona are not ready to sell the player, even for the €100 million Bayern seem ready to pay for him. They believe him to be one of the cornerstones of their project and the captain of the club in a few years.

de Jong

Another player who will definitely attract a lot of clubs as soon as his name is listed on the transfer market, de Jong’s exit seems closer than ever this summer.

As the highest-paid player in the Barcelona squad, the club want to renegotiate his contract and offer him an extension on lower wages. However, the Dutchman does not seem interested in lowering his salary as of now.

Recent reports have stated that Tottenham Hotspur have already submitted an offer worth €60 million for de Jong.

While Barça are yet to respond, it seems unlikely that they will accept less than what they themselves paid for the player, let alone nearly half of their current asking price of €100 million.

Raphinha

Finally, moving to Raphinha, the Brazilian is definitely not considering leaving the club at the end of the season. He might be forced to, though, as Lamine Yamal seems like Barcelona’s bet for the right-wing position moving forward.

Tottenham are interested in the 27-year-old as well, and would be willing to offer €70 million for his services, which could definitely tempt Barcelona.
