In a huge development, Barcelona youngster Vitor Roque could be closing on a move to Sporting CP in the ongoing transfer window, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The 19-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Catalan outfit and is on his way out with no place for him in Hansi Flick’s plans.

There has been plenty of interest in the young Brazilian from clubs in Spain, England, and Italy. But it appears that the striker will be headed to Portugal.

Transfer worth €30 million+including variables

Indeed, according to Romano, Sporting CP are advancing in negotiations with Barcelona to sign Roque.

If the operation goes through, the Italian journalist states that the total package would be worth in excess of €30 million, but with various add-ons and variables included.

Furthermore, reports in Spain suggest that Roque has given the green light from his end to sign for Sporting CP with the coming hours set to be key for the deal to go through.

It is being claimed that the Portuguese giants would be paying a transfer fee of €20 million in fixed fee, plus some variables, to sign the youngster from Barcelona.

It would essentially mean that the Catalans would be failing on their plan to recoup the €30 million fee they invested on signing Roque from Athletico Paranaense.

As was reported throughout last week, Premier League club Everton were willing to offer €28 million for the teenage forward but it was turned down by the Blaugrana.

Now with the possibility of making in excess of €30 million, including variables, Barcelona seem to be close to sanctioning the striker’s departure to Sporting CP.
