Spain will look to continue their good form as they take on Demark later this evening, in the third matchday of the UEFA Nations League.

Spanish head coach Luis de la Fuente, despite acknowledging the need for a discussion on fewer national games, is unlikely to make too many changes from the team that won 4-1 against Switzerland on September 9.

Barcelona keeping an eye on Lamine Yamal

An unchanged squad would mean Lamine Yamal will once again start for Spain, as they take on Denmark tonight, with the 17-year-old even being handed the No. 10 jersey.

According to SPORT, Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Yamal ahead of his likely involvement against the Danes.

Having played over 1,000 minutes of football this season, Barça are wary of Yamal’s fitness, knowing any knock to the young winger could potentially derail an otherwise excellent start to the campaign.

The first international break of the season was enough of an indicator no international player representing their national teams during the season is safe from injuries.

Barcelona, to that end, feel equally concerned about Yamal, who has been in phenomenal form this season, having racked up 5 goals and 5 assists so far.

Barcelona are also keeping an eye on Yamal’s disciplinary situation, as the forward is only a yellow card away from suspension in the next game.

Indeed, a booking against Denmark this evening could see him miss out of the next game against Serbia, which could be a relief for Barcelona.

One thing is for sure – Barça cannot afford to lose Lamine Yamal at this juncture of the season, if they are to compete for La Liga and the Champions League this season.
