In a recent report by Luis Miguelsanz in SPORT, concerns have arisen about the future of Pablo Torre at FC Barcelona. This is because despite being highly valued at the club, he will face limited opportunities this season.

Furthermore, the impending return of key players such as Dani Olmo, Frenkie de Jong, and Gavi is likely to further diminish his chances of getting playing time, as they are expected to be integrated back into the team gradually.

It is said that The coaching staff intends to ease them back into action, but it is widely anticipated that they will be fully fit and ready to start by the end of October.

No place for Torre

Barcelona’s midfield is already crowded, with established talents like Pedri holding a vital position and Marc Casado also in contention.

With so many players available, the likelihood of Torre getting significant playing time becomes increasingly slim.

Not long ago, Torre made the decision to remain at Barcelona with the club’s approval. There were multiple offers for loan deals, but none were seriously considered at that time.

However, the situation may change come January if circumstances dictate a different approach. The club understands the importance of ensuring that Torre remains an integral part of the team’s plans.

Nothing is ruled out

His successful spell at Girona demonstrated that he has the potential to be a key player. Therefore, the possibility of a loan deal could be revisited if no injuries occur and if Coach Hansi Flick believes that such a move is essential for Torre’s development.

This season is particularly crucial for Torre, especially since his contract is set to expire in 2026. Barcelona must make a timely decision regarding his contract extension, as next season will see him entering the final year of his current deal.

The club hopes to see more of him on the field, driven by the belief that he can evolve into a valuable asset, either as a player for the team or as a potential transfer opportunity that could generate profit in the future.
