Barcelona new manager Hansi Flick and director Deco have some major decisions to make in the coming days as they get started with the squad planning for next season.

One of the major issues that needs to be addressed is the future of teenage striker Vitor Roque, who hardly featured after arriving at Barcelona in January.

There had been talks of him leaving, either on loan or permanently, when Xavi was still in charge, but things could change with Flick’s appointment.

However, at the same time, there is also the Financial Fair Play margin that Barça need to consider, given that they will need space to register Roque. His future could have an impact on that of fellow striker Marc Guiu.

Barcelona could loan out Roque or Marc Guiu

As such, SPORT reports that Barcelona could end up loaning out one of Vitor Roque or Marc Guiu in the summer transfer window.

Robert Lewandowski is the undisputed starter in the No. 9 position and will have an important role under Hansi Flick.

Roque and Guiu would be competing for the backup centre-forward role and it is expected that both will not stay at Barça and one of them is likely to be sent out on loan.

It must be remembered that Juventus, with new manager Thiago Motta, are keen on signing Roque on loan.

As for Guiu, the La Masia ace who enjoyed greater prominence than Roque under Xavi, there are a number of La Liga clubs open to signing him on a temporary arrangement.

Guiu, for his part, is keen to stay at the club and fight for his place in the team, with his contract renewal already advanced.

So, it remains to be seen what the future has in store for Roque and Guiu and if one or both stay or leave on loan.
