Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is expected to rotate his squad for the upcoming match against Las Palmas and Osasuna, despite the team’s previous defeat to Diego Martínez’s side this season.
With a demanding fixture schedule ahead, Flick will need to carefully manage his players’ workload to maintain peak performance.
The Catalan giants are set to face Las Palmas on Saturday, followed by a crucial Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Atletico Madrid just a few days later.
After that, they will host Real Sociedad before shifting focus to the Champions League. This packed schedule leaves little time for recovery, making squad rotation a necessity rather than a choice.
Where can we see the changes?
Flick has been able to rely on a core group of 17 to 18 players, all of whom have stepped up when called upon.
According to SPORT, against Las Palmas, the German coach is likely to make adjustments to keep his squad fresh for the challenges ahead.

As such, midfield is an area where significant changes could take place. Dani Olmo is fully fit and ready to start, while the now-forgotten Marc Casado could be an option to replace Frenkie de Jong in the defensive midfield role.
Meanwhile, Ferran Torres, who has played only ten minutes in the last two matches, might be given an opportunity in attack, allowing one of the usual starters to take a break.
What about defence?
In defence, changes are also a possibility. Jules Kounde, who was benched recently due to disciplinary reasons rather than rotation, is expected to return.
However, Alejandro Balde has been heavily involved and could be given a rest. Gerard Martin might be in line for some minutes, either in this match or in the following game against Osasuna.
Flick’s decision-making will be crucial in ensuring Barcelona remain competitive across all competitions.
Managing the squad effectively could be the key to maintaining form and avoiding fatigue during this decisive phase of the season.
