Several Barcelona players are returning to the club this summer after spending the last season out on loan. While some are likely to stay, efforts are underway to find suitable transfers for others.

Among the players facing an uncertain future is 21-year-old midfielder Pablo Torre, who spent last season on loan at Girona.

With the youngster unable to fetch regular game-time in his first season at Barça, the club hoped he would get going at Girona under the tutelage of Michel.

Unfortunately, Torre did not made a notable mark at the Catalan club and questions are being asked about his next endeavor.

Now, according to SPORT, Pablo Torre does not have a place in the current Barcelona squad, and the club are thus looking for a solution for him.

Due to the multitude of options in midfield and Torre’s mediocre loan spell, Barcelona are considering options for him, possibly including another loan move or a transfer to another club where he might find more playing time.

As of now, Torre is surplus to requirements and does not fit into the team’s current plans, with Flick having other players in mind.

After all, in the midfield hierarchy, the Spaniard is anticipated to lose ground to players like Marc Casado, Frenkie de Jong, Ilkay Gundogan, Pedri, Fermin Lopez, and eventually Gavi when he returns.

Furthermore, Andreas Christensen’s increased involvement in midfield, Oriol Romeu’s possible continuity, and the potential signing of a defensive midfielder lessen the youngster’s chances of being a regular on the first team.

In Torre’s case, despite his return from loan, the player would be open to pursuing continuity at Girona, given that he has already adapted to the club’s setup and would be afforded more time to convince Barcelona of a permanent stay.

Time will tell where his future lies, but at the moment, the chances of him wearing the Barcelona shirt next season look bleak.
