Barcelona triumphed over Real Madrid on Sunday night, securing a commanding 5-2 victory to win the Spanish Super Cup.
It was the second time that the Blaugrana had humbled their rivals in the ongoing season, having already beaten them 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga.
La Masia prodigy Gavi was one of the important players for Barcelona on the night and played a pivotal role in the victory.
Having impressed during the 60 minutes or so he was on the pitch, Gavi also stole the show after the game with his actions.

As reported earlier, Gavi was seen embracing Ronald Araujo and calling the fans to cheer the defender on amidst rumours surrounding his future.
Now, SPORT reports that the Barcelona youngster also had a heartwarming exchange with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Indeed, after the match concluded, Gavi demonstrated his character and humility when he encountered the Real Madrid chief.
The young midfielder took the opportunity to thank Perez for the kind gesture he extended during Gavi’s recovery from his ACL injury.
The Real Madrid president had sent a letter to Gavi wishing him a speedy recovery after the injury sustained against Georgia.
“I wanted to thank you for the letter you sent me when I got injured,” Gavi said to the Real Madrid president, showcasing sportsmanship that transcends rivalries.
The midfielder, who had shone in the semi-final against Athletic with a goal and an assist, delivered another outstanding performance in the final against Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
The youngster had also been instrumental in Barcelona’s 3-1 win over Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup in 2023, scoring once and assisting twice, and repeated the heroics again last night even though he did not score.
