Dani Olmo is all set to become an FC Barcelona player imminently with his signing all but complete, with only the official announcement pending at this point.

In light of this, it was reported earlier today that the Spanish international’s formal presentation ceremony as a new Barcelona player would take place tomorrow.

It was suggested that the event would be held at the Ciutat Esportiva complex where Olmo would sign his contract with Joan Laporta before being presented to the fans and then attend his first press conference as a Barça player.

Change in plans

However, now, according to Mundo Deportivo, there has been a change in plans as far as Olmo’s official presentation is concerned.

Indeed, instead of holding the presentation on Friday, Barcelona now plan on presenting the soon-to-be new signing to the fans next week, on Monday to be exact, when the team is scheduled to play the Joan Gamper Trophy match.

The former La Masia trainee will sign his new contract with the club president on Friday, but his unveiling as an Azulgrana is being kept as a big attraction for next Monday’s Joan Gamper Trophy when Barcelona play AS Monaco.

This morning, the agents of the Spanish international European champion in Germany were still finalising the last details of the agreement with the Catalan club and exchanging documents.

The forecast is that on Friday he will sign his six-year contract with president Laporta and afterwards he will pose for the club’s photographers and speak to the official media.

However, everything indicates that his unveiling will take place on Monday when the entire squad will be presented at the Joan Gamper Trophy match.
