Despite optimism over his return, it must be noted that Araujo’s future at Barcelona is far from secure.

Barcelona, for their part, continue to ensure that they want to keep hold of Araujo. However, this strategy is not backed up by the club’s scrappy finances, which may require the sale of multiple first-team individuals.

Keeping that in mind, Barcelona are open to January offers for Araujo. in fact, if the Catalans receive any lucrative offer, the defender will be asked to leave the club.

Araujo, for his part, remains keen on returning to pitch as soon as possible and his focus is fully on his recovery ahead.

The defender, though, was very upset when Barcelona decided not to register him in the summer and use his salary to register other players in the team.

Therefore, it will be interesting to see how this Ronald Araujo saga evolves as Barcelona gradually approach the winter transfer window.
