Vitor Roque’s time at FC Barcelona has been tumultuous, to say the least. From being heralded as Brazil’s next big thing to warming the benches at Barcelona, the 19-year-old has faced a 180-degree turn in his status in just one year.

The young Brazilian was scarcely given play time under coach Xavi Hernandez and has struggled to convince Hansi Flick in the ongoing pre-season tour as well.

As such, considering the slowly dissolving glue of Barcelona and Roque’s marriage, an exit is on the cards for the young striker this summer.

Barcelona have two offers for Roque this summer

Now, according to Jijantes FC, Barça have received two significant offers for Vitor Roque this summer. The youngster’s agent, Andre Cury, was in Barcelona today to discuss his future.

The first offer is from a prominent club in the Premier League, proposing a loan deal that could provide Vitor Roque with valuable playing time and experience in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

Before signing with Barcelona, the 19-year-old had several suitors from England and thus this proposition barely bewilders.

The second offer comes from a leading team in the Italian Serie A, who are looking for a permanent transfer.

This option would see Vitor Roque moving to Italy, where he could establish himself in a new environment and allow Barcelona to permanently offload him.

While the name of the club has not been mentioned, Lazio have shown a serious interest in signing the teenage striker and have previously offered €20 million for 50% of his rights – a proposal that Barcelona rejected.

Given that the Catalans need an urgent injection of cash, a permanent transfer is more likely to float their board, but it depends on whether teams are willing to meet the club’s valuation.

Following Dani Olmo’s acquisition, the arrival of a defensive midfielder or left-winger cannot yet be ruled out and Roque’s sale would go a long way in helping achieve those goals.
