Journalist Roger Torello, writing for Mundo Deportivo, has confirmed that Barcelona forward Vitor Roque is open to going out on loan, although his preference is to remain in La Liga.
This decision comes after a challenging pre-season where Roque found himself relegated to a secondary role, and the club even reassigned his number 19 shirt to Lamine Yamal.
It must be noted that initially, Roque was hesitant about the idea of a loan move, but as the situation unfolded, he realised that seeking regular playing time elsewhere might be the best path for his development.
Staying at Barcelona and fighting for minutes seemed like the ideal scenario at first, but with the competition and the club’s current plans, it became evident that breaking into the starting lineup would be a tough task.
As a result, Roque has mentally prepared himself to explore options that would allow him to gain more experience and grow as a player in Europe.

Their focus has primarily been on finding a club within La Liga, where Roque can continue to adapt to Spanish football.
The names of Girona and Real Sociedad have come up in discussions, as both clubs are in need of a centre-forward. However, despite the contacts that have been established, neither team has made an official offer yet.
The news of the Brazilian’s willingness to go out on loan within La Liga effectively ends any speculation about a potential move to Portuguese clubs like Sporting CP or FC Porto.
Earlier reports suggested that Sporting CP was a strong contender for his signature, but Roque has ultimately decided to focus on finding an opportunity within Spain.
